What is the CSD Scholarship?
The future of CSD is directly tied to the future of young athletes. When they thrive, we — and the rest of the community — succeed right along with them. We want bright young student/athletes to go to college — and we want to help them do it.
That's why we started the CSD Scholarship Program, which is open to Class of 2017, 2018 or 2019 athletes.
- Are you a U.S. citizen or legal resident who will be a sophomore, junior or senior in the fall of 2017?
- Are you still on the roster after playing football for one complete season?
If you answered "yes," you could win money for tuition, supplies, books, fees and equipment at a non-profit, accredited two- or four-year university or college in the United States. To ensure integrity, transparency and legitimacy, the program is administered by International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc., a firm that specializes in managing sponsored scholarship programs.
What You Need to Do
Start by telling your coach or academic advisor that you're pursuing this football scholarship. Tell us your top three colleges of choice. You'll be able to update your selections later if you need on the Profile page, as long as it's within 30 days of the checks being issued. You'll also need to submit essay/video content and proof of how amazing you're doing in school. The football scholarship is non-renewable, and awards funds in $1,000 increments. You can't appeal if you're not chosen, but students can apply over and over again as long as they remain eligible. If a scholarship winner transfers to a different school, the money transfer right along with him.
Your Application Status
We believe that personal responsibility is the hallmark of a great athlete. It's up to you to monitor the status of your application and stay informed as to whether everything is on the up and up. Once you apply, give us five to seven business days (we know you're excited. We're excited, too, but we're only human!) to update your status. Then, visit your Home page to see if your status is:
- Started: You haven't submitted the form and application will not be considered.
- Submitted: You submitted the form, but it was incomplete.
- Complete: Whoo hoo! The form is complete and correct. All applicable attachments are included and the selection committee is considering you for the scholarship.
If applicable, you can also monitor the status of any attachments, which could be:
- Not Received: The attachment was not received or has been rejected.
- Requested: You created the form request but didn't start it.
- Processing: We received the attachment and are reviewing it.
- Accepted: Yay! ISTS has verified and accepted the attachment!
If you uploaded a document that no longer displays with a status, that means it was rejected. Make sure it was the document we requested, and make sure it was submitted in one of the following formats: .pdf, .tif, .png, .gif, .jpeg, .jpg, .bmp or .xps. Make sure the document finished uploading and that the file contained all required pages. Finally, make sure the file is not corrupt or password protected. It is OK to send more than one attachment at the same time, as long as they are in an acceptable format. Make sure that all supporting documents meet the criteria and are submitted by the application deadline.
If You're Selected (#MoneyForCollege!) or Not Selected (#TryTryAgain)
We'll email you with our response whether you're approved or denied. To avoid the notification message being doomed to your spam folder, add donotreply@applyISTS.com and ContactUs@applyISTS.com to your contacts. Don't sweat it. We hate spam as much as you and we'll never give or sell your info to third parties. You may be wondering if your scholarship money is tax deductible. Generally, in the United States, scholarship money is not taxed if it's used for things like tuition and books. The laws in other countries vary wildly.
